The Hochschule der Bayerischen Wirtschaft (HDBW) is a private, state-accredited University of Applied Sciences and Management. Its main campus is located in Munich with a regional study-center in Bamberg.
Founded in 2012, the HDBW has currently about 500 students. The campus is located next to the Munich Trade Fair Center, 20 minutes from Munich city center by underground.

HDBW Bachelor's degree programmes
We offer three types of bachelor's degree programmes: full-time studies, part-time studies, or dual track courses (a combination of on-the-job-training and studies).
You obtain 210 ECTS with this bachelor’s degree. And you can focus on different subjects, dependent on number of participants, within your major field of study:

BACHELOR STUDIES AT THE HDBW
Entry requirements - bachelor degree:
Equivalent to the German “Abitur” – i.e. graduation from high school, A-levels
Lecture Language - bachelor degree:
German – language level B2 is required
Application process - bachelor degree:
- Application documents sent by E-Mail:
- Completed application form
- Motivation letter
- Tabular Curriculum Vitae with photo
- Original certificate of higher education entrance qualification as well as a certified German translation, if the original documents are neither in German nor in English
- Proof of German language competency; e.g. TestDaF, DSH
- Copy of identification card or passport
- For non-EU-citizens: Residence permit (can be submitted later) - Interview with the course director (also possible via Skype)
- Once you have been accepted by HDBW, you will receive your study contract.
Application deadline - bachelor degree:
September 30th of each year.
If you are a student from abroad: June 30th, because veryfing your application documents etc. takes much longer.
Program start - bachelor degree:
Winter Semester: beginning of October
Study Period - bachelor degree:
7 semesters full-time, including a full-time internship during the 6th semester.
Tuition Fee - bachelor degree:
540 € monthly fee for full-time and dual track courses.

HDBW Master: Digitalisation meets Entrepreneurship

HDBW Vice President Carten Bartsch talks about the international master’s degree programme in Business Administration, named Digital Business Modelling and Entrepreneurship.
Developed by national and international experts from research and industry, it focuses on how digitalization changes business models. During your master studies at HDBW, University of Applied Sciences in Munich, you will look at technological aspects from the customers’, management’s and process perspective.

The HDBW offers 4 master’s degree programmes - either as full-time or part-time studies in Munich:
Digital Business Modeling and Entrepreneurship (Master of Arts)
This master’s program is lectured entirely in English and focuses on how digitalization changes business models. We look at technological aspects from the customers’, management’s and process perspective.
Digital Factory and Operational Excellence (Master of Science)
We deal with digital influences and methods for fundamental analyses and manufacturing organization of production process, logistics and global supply chain management. Lecture langguage German.
Cyber Security (Master of Science)
Qualification of IT security experts dealing with technological, management and legal challenges & solutions of the entire cyber landscape. Lectures taught entirely in English.
Digital Technologies (Master of Engineering)
This master’s program is combining the most important digital technologies, concepts and methods with the economic knowledge to establish a digital start-up, develop a business plan and to market products and services. Lecture langguage German.
MASTER STUDIES AT THE HDBW

Other degrees and fewer ECTS:

Lecture Language - master degree:
Digital Business Modelling and Entrepreneurship / Cyber Security: 100% English (B2 Level)
Digital Factory and Operational Excellence / Digital Technologies: German and partly English (B2 Level in both languages)
Application process - master degree:

If you are a student applying from abroad: November 30th (Summer Semester) and June 30th (Winter Semester), because veryfing your application documents etc. takes much longer.
